ONTRAX CRUSHING AND SCREENING declare Keestrack Frontier “Simply the Best”

Ontrax Crushing and Screening Services took delivery of a Keestrack Frontier, 16 X 6, heavy duty scalping screen in 2008. To date they have processed over 700,000 tonnes of 120mm minus material in just over 2,000 hours at approximately 350tph. “In all that time we have only replaced one bearing and a fan” declares Bernie O’Keefe, Managing Director of Ontrax.

Prior to purchasing this unit, O’Keefe, who is well known in industry circles for being very thorough, hired a variety of similar styled machines. He took months to ponder over the decision making process and eventually declared the Keestrack the winner. “I have owned and hired many screens over the years, but this unit just has it all. It’s reliable, productive, the screen has unbelievable vibration, and it’s very simple and easy to work on. It all opens up hydraulically, and allows fitters easy and safe access, to carry out their maintenance and change meshes when necessary. It just makes our lives easy” says O’Keefe, “if my fitters are happy I am happy, it’s that simple.”

Keestrack started manufacturing these machines in Belgium in 1992 and there are hundreds of them all over the world, throughout the Recycling and Quarry Industries they are regarded as the benchmark by which all other manufacturers measure themselves. Screenmasters have been distributing these units throughout Australia over the past few years with a large degree of success, and while there are many pretenders there is only one Keestrack.

To date, these machines have been sold into a wide variety of applications from iron ore and wood mulch in Western Australia, to hard rock quarries and recycling applications on the East Coast. Indeed the 16 X 6 Frontier is now the machine of choice for the vast amount of recycling companies on the East Coast of Australia with recyclers in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane all singing its praises. In one application alone, the Frontier increased the clients’ productivity threefold over his previous scalping screen.
